Who Are We?
We are an organization of retired New York City Firefighters located on the West Coast of Florida in the areas of Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus and Hillsborough counties. Although now retired we share a bond of having had the privilege of protecting lives and property of the residents of the City of New York as members of the greatest fire department in the world.

Membership in the Gene O'Kane Division of FDNY Retired is open to all FDNY retirees both firemen and officers, and EMTs. Associate membership is open to all volunteer firefighters and EMT's from all cities acrosss the U.S.A. Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month (with the exception of June, July, and August) at 7pm at the A

The Gene O'Kane Division of FDNY Retired prides itself on gathering our members, families and friends together throughout the year at a variety of social and community activities. The Gene O'Kane Division of FDNY Retired prides itself on gathering our members, families and friends together throughout the year at a variety of social and community activities. We begin our year with our Installation Dinner Dance. We have spring and fall picnics at beautiful Fred Howard Park in Tarpon Springs, FL. Members enjoy a St. Patty's Day feast at the March meeting every year. Our Holiday Party is held in lieu of our December meeting.
We are actively involved with 9/11 ceremonies in the Tampa Bay are and regularly volunteer for Tunnel To Towers events.

Next meeting: Tuesday, 12/16/25. This will be our Annual Holiday Party. Note start time: 5pm.
Annual Holiday Party: We will be holding our annual Holiday Party on Tuesday, 12/16/25. As always Santa will pay a visit. Cost is $10.00 per person. Mail your checks made out to O’Kane FDNY retired to:Louis Kikis, Treasurer, 4973 W Breeze Cir, Palm Harbor, Fl 34683. You may also pay at our November meeting. Payments need to be received by 12/10/25. Family and friends are all welcome.
